I have been teaching at Riverbend and working in Ouachita Parish for 5 years.  I have been a classroom teacher for 21 years.  I have taught 3^rd and 4^th grade math.  I was a 4^th grade math teacher for half of my teaching career and a third grade math teacher for the other half.  I have also taught 3^rd and 4^th grade science and 3^rd grade social studies.   I currently teach 3^rd grade math and spelling.  

I began my teaching career in Lake Providence, Louisiana where I taught for 3 years.  I moved to Texas and continued to teach in Dallas, Texas for 6 years.  I then began teaching in New Orleans, Louisiana for the next 7 years.  I have attended many workshops and have won several awards during my teaching experience.  I have been a Master and Mentor teacher in New Orleans and I am currently a Mentor teacher at Riverbend Elementary.
